Our 2024 Financial Equity Summit Is Fast Approaching!

On October 1st and 2nd, our third annual Financial Equity summit will take place, as a Zoom webinar on Tuesday the 1st and at Worcester’s Redemption Rock Brewery on Wednesday the 2nd. Registration is now open for the Summit.
In Worcester on October 2nd, Lieutentant Governor Kim Driscoll will join us; OCC Deputy Comptroller for CRA Donna Murphy will give a keynote address; and we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first voluntary statewide Basic Banking program and our inaugural Elevating Equity award winners. We will also have a roundtable discussion on 30 years of Basic Banking for Massachusetts and what still needs to be done to reach unbanked households with Tom Curry, former Comptroller of the Currency; Joe Feaster, Counsel at Dain, Torpy and former MCBC President; Jason Andrade, Compass Working Capital; and Lena Buteau, Monson Savings.
On October 1st we feature local and national panel discussions on innovative Community Reinvestment Act programs. Our keynote speaker on Tuesday the 1st will be Moddie Turay, CEO of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation and a 2022 Loeb Fellow. One panel on the 1st will feature Horacio Mendez from the Chicago-based Woodstock Institute; Paulina Gonzalez-Brito, from Rise Economy in California; Betty Francisco, from the Boston Impact Initiative; Sarah Dieleman Perry, from Neighborhood Allies in Pittsburgh.
