Notes from 4/20/17 Economic Development Committee Meeting

In case you missed the Economic Development Committee Meeting on 4/20/17, details of the meeting are included below.

1) Nathan Hixson and Ben Selden from LEAF joined us to discuss their work around lending to cooperatives and technical assistance and business support. More information on LEAF can be found here. They also referred the group to two reports on Investment in Worker-owned Cooperatives which can be found here.

2) Jean Horstman updated the group on the proposed next steps of the C3 initiative, including a Hackathon and SharkTank event for the fall. More info can be found here.

3) MCBC is hosting a Forum on the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) for Financial Institutions on May 16th at Boston Private. Click here to learn more and register.
