Amazing speakers. Compelling topics. Thought leaders. Registration is OPEN!
On October 3rd and 4th, MCBC will host our inaugural Financial Equity Summit with the Arbella Insurance Foundation as Presenting Sponsor. The summit is a two-day event with local and national speakers focusing on closing our racial wealth gap in Massachusetts and the nation and thinking proactively about how best to deliver financial services to lower income consumers in an ever-changing landscape.
Confirmed speakers include Dedrick Asante-Muhammad, Chief of Membership, Policy and Equity at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition; Grace Lee, Eastern Massachusetts Regional President at M&T Bank; Lisa Rice, CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance; Lauren Saunders, Associate Director of the National Consumer Law Center; Ken Willis, Senior Vice President at Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston; Glynn Lloyd, CEO of Mill Cities Community Investments; Boston City Councilor Ruthzee Louijeune; Gerardo Espinoza, Executive Director of Local Enterprise Assistance Fund and many more.
On Monday night October 3rd, we will host an in-person reception at Dorchester Brewing Company and make an exciting organizational announcement. Our intention to expand our focus and capacity in the coming years to include the full range of financial services that impact low- and moderate-income consumers and to partner more with government and quasi-government agencies that impact our neighborhoods and our policies.
We are a partnership of financial industry professionals, community leaders and government officials dedicated to closing racial wealth gaps and improving the financial futures of low- and moderate-income households. If you would like sponsorship information, please contact executive director Tom Callahan at tcallahan@mcbc.info.
Sponsors to date include Arbella Insurance Foundation as Presenting Sponsor; Santander as Keynote Speaker Sponsor; Massachusetts Housing Partnership as Summit Organizer; and The Life Initiative and Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association as Summit Supporters.
